Drums Mastery is a two pronged attack on the subject of getting knocking beats, focusing on both creating great rhythms and getting a great sound.
We’ll see how we can create simple and effective patterns for our drums by focusing on the key rhythmical techniques that make beats bounce, and evolve them into awe inspiring and organic parts with dynamics, polyrhythms and poly-meters. Then, fry brains with glitched, pitched and reversed effects that burst out of speakers.
We’ll identify important classic drum machines and breakbeats, learn how to chop and process breaks and individual sounds with layering, EQ, compression, saturation, amplitude shaping, bit crushing, and more, and make our own kits with balance and unity.
